OK Kids,
TP and I are taking a little field trip to Detroit to take part in the Maker Faire on Saturday July 31, 2010

The plan is to meet up with TP @ where else......... The Waffle House!!! for a quick bite about 7:30AM (Times and plan still being finalized but give you an Idea of when and where)

That means I'll be heading out from the secret Redneck labs office in Carrollton about 4am, Traveling up I-77, to I-80 to meet up with TP....
I'd be open to a co-pilot and/or a passenger(s) if they could be acquired along the way.

The Cost of the Maker Fiare is $28 (plus your food and beverage needs throughout the day), it runs from 9:30am to 8PM. If'n your interested in going drop me a line....

Oh, and let the "Trolls" come out and Flame on!

The best bet Waffle House in the Toledo area appears to be at:

26046 N DIXIE HWY
PERRYSBURG, OH 43551-1922

It is a few miles out of the way for those coming across 80, but there are not really any better options between Toledo and the event.

Yes. But that's beside the point!   rolleyes

Actually, it looks cool, but that's a long day for something that, in all honesty, sounds like a good time for 3 hours tops.  cheesy It does look cool. Actually, I may wind up going by default, but on my own. I might meet up with a buddy in Detroit earlier in the day to deliver his guitar I've been working on, so we'll see.

I dropped my buddy's guitar off at UPS so won't be making the journey. Really didn't feel like the drive anyway.

Have a good time!

So we ended up arriving @ the Faire about 11:30am..... The Faire was Great!!! I could have spent more time in some areas! between the and just one part of the Henry Ford museum, it was about all you could do to fit it into one day (might have been easier if we got there earlier..).
I did take some pics that I'll share if anyone ones them...but to be honest.... I geeked out several times and didn't take many pics (like of the 3 R2's that were there!)
I learned a lot, and saw a few things that I plan on building that will take my mods and other projects to a new level!!!

It was a great time over all!
